The articles follow Max Martin who is a songwriter that is unknown by the majority of people that listen to hit songs. He writes songs for a varying number of artists such as Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift yet it is known as their songs he doesn’t mind letting them have the credit of seeing the music but he gets the credit for writing it. Although Martin has a beautiful singing voice, he doesn’t want to be an artist himself so he goals the theme to other people. Additionally, when he read songs for other people, he makes them sing it the way he sang it so in a way it’s like he’s performing. He has had a heavy influence on the music industry more specifically the pump industry. The iconic sounds of these famous celebrities are his doing, and many of their most popular songs are his doing. The articles also talk about the influence Swedish pop has on the rest of the world for example the specific characteristics. The lyrics are simple but clearly have a lot of Millatti and a little bit of a darker feel to the music. Because of this pop, music isn’t too joyful and cheer for real I was innocent but most of the time addresses heartbreak and relationship topics. Sweden has a lot of musical influence they have schools specializing in music mixing in songwriting as well as a large number of people that are interested in going to the music industry so it would make sense for them to have outstanding musical talent.

I have listened to the song “I want it that way” many times but I have never dissected it into the way that it is created. After listening to the song again I realize that the way it is written is very much true to the Swedish norms. The lyrics are very clear about the topic of the song about them being in love. The tone of the song is it to peppy as well it is more team and down-to-earth but with a little bit of upbeat. To me, the song also seems linear in the way that the lyrics All correlate with each other and tie into the main idea of the song. However, in today’s music, a lot of the pop songs take influence from Sweden but combine different ideas into one song instead of having one direct meaning. In this sense, it’s harder to decode, but people can interpret it in different ways.
