I took this to mean that situations like seasons will always change. If it’s a given that winter will follow autumn, then why wouldn’t spring come after.

In Wordsworth’s ” A few Miles Above Tintern Abbey he greatly emphasizes the value of nature and how even the mere memory of his time spent in nature can act as an escape for him from city life and the accumulation of negative emotions. Percy Bysshe Shelley on the other hand in his poem “Stanzas Written in Dejection”, while he does highlight the beauty of nature around him, he accentuates the fact that they have no effect whatsoever on him as he is in this state of dejection.

So, this moment will get better and be bright again as the nature always brings the new life.

Both Shelley and Wordsworth choose to have nature as their main component in their works. They are both similar in the sense that the idea of nature shapes their feelings of emotion and their outlook on life at the current moment. Where they differ is in how nature affects their emotions. For Shelley, nature does not lift him up in this moment as instead it depresses the speaker. For Wordsworth, the idea of nature is a powerful and positive influence on his emotions as it brings him back to a time of tranquility and peace.
