It appears to me that Gregor’s transformation is more symbolisim than anything else. Instead i think that it was his work as a sales man the supported a higher lifestyle than they really could afford. Its only when Gregor is unable to work presumably from his transformation that they can no longer support said lifestyle.
Its interesting how only when the parents got involved with the children regarding Douglass’ learning to read that they stopped. This goes to show how much a learned behavior slavery really is.
What makes me wonder is why the lamb is given the indication of innocence not only in nature, but also in higher functions such as the existence of a creator. While the tyger isn’t given any questions to see if it knew what created its viscous nature and image, but questions the morals and reasoning of the creator.

Is Sun Wu Kong fear of death originate from his lack of normal worries. When he and his kingdom discovers the waterfall caves they meet all the needs they previously worried about like food shelter, etc. They also separated themselves from the interaction of other animals like the birds. Is it due to a lack of these daily trials and tasks the bring Sun Wu Kong focus on the goal of immortality and later find himself a disciple to a man simply living day to day, a man surrounded by these worries.
Descartes mentions in his writing that he periodically rejects aspects and fields of study that he claimed to be muddled with opinion and conflicting doubt to create true knowledge. Yet by disregarding these fields of study even with their issues doesn’t he also reject needed view points and sources to help prove his belief in the existence of god
