For my life experience I do not have that experience, however there is a thing going on right now, I think this is the most similar experience with Isabel Allende. It is the Covid- 19. When this happened first in China, I did not feel anything about this, I still do whatever I do usually, going to school, go to work, however I do not know is this happened in one second, the school was shut down, everyone wear mask, that make me feel suddenly in one second, I try to buy a ticket to go back to China, since when United Stated more people died in one day, I decided to go back to China, but there is no ticket for me to go back to China, I feel so hopeless, one week only one fly, and during tat period, the mask was so expensive than usually, I feel everything was shut down. Even during that period the China seen more control than United Stated, but right now the vaccination is for now is faster than in China, I try to call my family member in China, they did not even have any news that they can get the vaccine, compare to China, I think United Stated have more resource can let the people get the vaccine as soon as possible, even China get control early than United Stated. During the pandemic period, the news I saw the people died increase everyday, the news report everyday to people. Everyone is concern about how many people died in one day, when the first happened in China, no on is thinking how terrible is the disease, they did not think about this result, everyone is afraid of this disease, also included me, I think this is the most similar thing happened during my life experience with Isabel Allende was a terrible experience.

Explain the significance of the story’s title, “This Way for the Gas, Ladies and Gentlemen.” What seems strange about it?

The title is significance is because this shows the life of people in the campus, the relationship between the people’s life and the death that people in the campus, and the relationship between the prisoner and the poisonous.

What did you learn from this story that you did not previously know about life in Nazi concentration camps?

“We lie against the rails in the narrow streaks of shade, breathe unevenly, occasionally
exchange a few words in our various tongues, and gaze listlessly at the majestic men in
green uniforms, at the green trees, and at the church steeple of a distant village.” I learn that the people that in the campus have a terrible life, and how the prisoner scare about them, can not eat enough and can not rest really good. I have more clear about the life in the campus during that period.

How is Gregor’s family transformed in the wake of his metamorphosis?

I think Gregor’s family feel so surprised when they first say Gregor  transformed, and after that they still love him, because her mom still tell him he should get up and get he train to work. They just think he just get sick not a lot effect to the relationship of their family.

Do you think that Gregor is more powerful BEFORE or AFTER his metamorphosis? Explain your response.

I think Gregor is more powerful after he metamorphosis, because he is more firm that he need to work, and he know his family have a lot debt, so he need to work to pay the debt, and the whole family is depend on him, so he knows that, I think that is why Gregor is more powerful after he metamorphosis.

In this poem the most part I familiar is this part “Let us go then, you and I,When the evening is spread out against the sky Like a patient etherized upon a table;Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,”” for my own understanding is that the author really desire about love, he wants his lover is in his spirit make him does not feel so lonely, I want to explain this part because a lot people think about my lover what is going to be like, however I think the most important thing about lovers is the lover can help you in the spirit, can stimulate you. The author using metaphor for the second and third phrase. The word that I do not understand I highlight in the hypothes.is. So I think author use metaphor is trying to show the reader feel more realistic the lover in his mind.

Rabindranath Tagore’s short story “Punishment” I think is similar to the story Du Tenth, because I think the have similar conclusion, they both died. In Rabindranath Tagore’s short story “Punishment” The older brother killed his wife, however the younger brother do not want his brother to get crime, and go to jail, so he tell his own wife to said that is his wifi kill the older brother’s wifi. I think this is the similar point to Du Tenth, In the article, it said “This was what he instructed his wife to say:” The elder wife was about to attack me with the vegatable-slicer. I picked yp a farm-knife to stop her, and it somehow cut into her.” This was all RAmlochan’s invention. He had generously supplied Chidam with the proofs and embroidery that the story would required.” And when the police questioned Chandara, she said,” Yes, I killed her.” Also in Du Tenth, “ All day he would see Du Tenth beside him, crusing him. In time, he died. People said it was revenge exacted from the depths of the river.” In both article, the similar point is that the both article have people died, so I think this is the similar and have contract between the two novel.

Leo Tolstoy’s , “Death of Ivan Ilyich” I think this is a very interesting article and this is a very thoughtful article after I finished reading this, and also I did tell me a lot about the people’s life truth. For example the people in the article Ivan, he suppose have a really good life, however he got a miserable thing happened to him, he got the disease and separation, so I think this will teach him a lot about he people’s life. He died so suddenly, when he know he got the disease, and he start to know that he can not live in him own space, and he should not always compare with others, because that will make you feel more pressure, you should do your part very well, and live your own life pretty, that is enough for a person’s whole life. I think we could sympathy for Ivan, because this is not happened to us, we do not know the exactly feel about the same thing, but when we have something that very small, and make people feel pressure a lot, I think I can empathy how his feeling about it.  If the thing really happened to us, I think we all want other people will empathy to us, that is also a strong feeling can help you feeling better, even it can not make you get well as soon s possible, however that will help a lot. In my mind I just have only thought no matter what other people are talking about just do yourself job pretty, and do not care about other people are talking abut, you will not feel that a lot pressure on yourself, it will give you a lot pressure if you continuous do that.

What is the significance of Lovborg’s unfinished manuscript?  Why does Hedda burn it? What ramifications does that act have for Lovborg and the other characters in the play?

The unfinished manuscript is significant is because that means his whole life. “I have torn my own life to pieces. So why should I not tear my life-work too”?  I think why he burn it it is because he is very lealous person, she can not believe the trust that other person is better than herself, that is why she burn it. The ramification does the act have for lovborg and the other character in the play is that he think its wrong that he dunk than then burn it. And that is one reason that cause himself suicide or death.

After watch the movie, I know there are little bit difference. between the book that we read. the movie is showing more detail and let the people feel more real. The movie is talking about a woman is trying to destroy the ex lover. Compare with the book, I think the movie is showing more sense of the picture. can let me know what they talking about, and the background they live. I can have more idea and information to fully understand the story. For example in the book it said they live at somewhere, I can not  really figure out the living condition they really are, but watching the movie I can have more sense bout what are they really talking about, and the movie is showing more details that I can understand more. And reading the book, I can not really tell the relationship what they are, I can not have some picture in my mind, how they really acting are. However watching the movie I can know how they exactly are acting, and how the relationship is going, and from the eye motion I can clearly know they are have a good relationship, but reading the book, I can not tell the exactly thing happened compare with the movie. There are some difference between the book and the during the movie, the movie is showing they really have a good relationship, after watching the movie I van tell that, for me the movie is going to tell me more compare with reading the book.

I think this is similar with Fredrick Douglas, they both write both how the slavery have a miserable life. How the people treat slavery between women and men.

#2 After I read this topic, I know that people must have their value to change the life of yourself. Second being a slavery you really miserable during that time period, so people have to work together to against this, and get your own freedom. lastly, I think people are really no heart to treat these people as slavery, people did not really treat slavery as people, so I think these are really important thing to let people know what happened during slavery time.

when I first time reading this article I feel so miserable, on page six the paragraph said ” He would at times seem to take great pleasure in whipping a slave. I have often been awakened at the dawn of day by the most heart-rending shrieks of an own aunt of mine, whom he used to tie up to a joist, and whip upon her naked back till she was literally covered with blood. No words, no tears, no prayers, from his gory victim, seemed to move his iron heart from its bloody purpose. The louder she screamed, the harder he whipped; and where the blood ran fastest, there he whipped longest. He would whip her to make her scream, and whip her to make her hush; and not until overcome by fatigue, would he cease to swing the blood-clotted cowskin. ” This paragraph made me have more influence for slavery, how the people treat slavery during that time period, how people are so cruel to people, even its slavery but also so cruel to them, I never know the people treat slavery was that bad. I think from here he has some thing in his mind, that he really want to stop the slavery period, he really need to do something to end this thing. I think his diction, syntax, and literary style will help the reader read more clearly, can help the reader know what he is trying to say, and he explain so clearly so people can continue to read and understand him. One question I have after reading this paragragh is why such people treat slavery that bad, they are also human, why have so many difference, why the slavery have so many discrimination, they are also human, why such big difference between people and people. I feel real miserable for them.
