Hello, my name is Minahil Imtiaz. I am a transfer student from LaGuardia Community College. I was born in New York. I enjoy being with my family the most, after completing my associate degree in science I planned on going to Baruch to get my bachelor’s degree in finance. One of my strongest strength I would say is my attitude towards every challenge in life, I like to believe as if I CAN do it, I take success and failure in a balanced manner. I always feel like there is space for improvement, taking control of things and requiring perfection in everything is what keeps me going. I enjoy cooking and baking in my free time, organization and interior decorating are hobbies I enjoy doing the most. After my graduation from Baruch, I plan on obtaining a master’s degree in finance. However, I am certain that I would never achieve my career goals without my college degree. I am trilingual, aside from knowing English I also know how to speak and write Urdu and Punjabi. Being a person who gets affected by her surroundings deeply I try to keep my circle small and full of positive energy. I’ve happened to be surrounded by such practical, cooperative, and intuitive mentors who have taught me lessons that I will hold on to forever. One of the simplest and most important of them being celebrating little things, small achievements making yourself happy. Celebrating the moments that are being experienced now instead of worrying about what tomorrow brings.
Thanks for this introduction, Minahil. It sounds like you have a very clear sense of who you are and what beliefs or attitudes help you to stay on track. I too love baking and cooking and have found them particularly soothing during the pandemic!
Oh I am a transfer student from LaGuardia, your name does sound familiar. It seems like you have your future planned out which is not what many people have. You have strong beliefs and that is something someone who wants to be successful in life needs to have, I think you’ll do great at Baruch and also in whatever you have planned for your future after Baruch. Keeping a small circle is something I agree a 100% with. Celebrating achievements or milestones is a very important as it keeps you motivated. Have a great semester at Baruch Minahil!
Hey Minahil, great introduction! I am always jealous of people are talented enough to not only be a bilingual but trilingual, especially knowing some of the hardest languages in the world. I completely agree with the way you view success and failure, can not really have one without the other. You are going to thrive in this competitive environment, I am sure you will! Best of luck to you and your future endeavors.
