Post  The Qur’an

It is often said that one should never hate.
One should always to what is correct
Not because you want to do good, And it is nice if you want to do good.
However you should do good by others because it is the correct thing to do!!!
For the section that we read I enjoyed the beginning about how one should not let the hatred towards another build up, For it will only lead to more sin.
After reading this, It got me to think that If one is to hate, the mind can be clouded. And wrong decisions will be made.
The next part I would like to focus on is
If you are to kill for revenge, It is as killing man kind. However If you are to kill to save, it is save mankind.
Deep stuff Bro!!
When is it OK to kill, not that it ever is..
Over all this, reading was awesome. Gets you to think and maybe reevaluate yourself.

  1. I agree with D.pimentel and his reflection on the Quran. Hate is a major issue in society and it has never lead to a positive outcome. If an individual hates it is as if he is wielding a single edged sword and the sharp side is facing him. Hate has the power to fester and consumes an individual. The dangerous part about hate is that it perpetuates and can be taught. A very famous instance of this happening in history is Hitler and his Nazi Reich. Hitler began a movement of hate within Germany and it festered and consumed a whole nation. To this day Germany will never escape its horrible history as well as the reparations it had to pay to its victims. I believe the Quran has many valuable lessons to be taught. As D.Pimentel said “If you are to kill for revenge it is as killing mankind”. Hate only leads to one path and that is the destruction of mankind.

  2. D. Pimentel is right. I grew up following the guidelines of the Christian bible. I agree with the Que’an. I already grew up with the morality of not doing bad to others, because I would not want bad to be done to myself. The sad truth is even if it is the right thing to do, we live in a world with bad people. I cannot speak for others on their beliefs, but it is only right to have respect for others. The Qur’an is similar to the Christian Bible so reading it brought some enlightenment. I felt as if I was given this positive vibe because lately I’ve been feeling down. I enjoyed the reading, I am glad it provided me a nostalgic thought.

  3. I agree D.pimental. Quran doesn’t reflect any hatred stuff rather it shows the mankind how to be peaceful. At the era when Quran was written there were people who were stealing, robbing , telling lies about simple matter and what not. But Quran insisted not to take revenge on anything rather have a simple lifestyle. As a muslim, I follow Quran deeply and understand the full meaning of it. Quran says no to violence. And if sure most of the other religions prohibit violence too.
