Shortly after graduating from Baruch, I enrolled in Bard College’s Master of Arts in Teaching Program. It was a fantastic experience that complemented my education at Baruch, preparing me to share my love for literature with young people.
Once I earned my degree and teaching credentials, I started teaching 7th and 8th grade English at Hugo Newman College Prep (PS 180) in Harlem. I am honored to be a part of such a warm and active learning community. Though teaching can be tough (especially in our current political climate), it is a rewarding and fulfilling career. I enjoy the intellectual challenge and spirit of collaboration as I work with fellow teachers and parents to help young people become more engaged readers, writers, and critical thinkers.
