Going into the gallery today was very amusing, when I first stepped into the museum my assumptions were observing a bunch of paintings from artist of our modern time but I was completely wrong as soon as I stepped into the gallery on the second floor. The music was very dramatic with drums and violins playing notes that were in a major key. The room was used in very creative ways for example, there was a huge room with two projector showing violinist playing the violin and the video was captured from different angles, One angle being a close up shot from behind the elbow and the other was shot from a far stand point. The angles in which the videos were shot gave off two different perspectives. For example The one being shot from a close up of the elbow was very annoying, giving off lots of anxiety because I could hardly see the instrument plus I couldn’t tell who was playing it.The ceiling was the most interesting part of the exhibit with drums hanging upside down playing on their own, being curious I kept analyzing how the trick was done and I couldn’t figure it out. I headed up to the third floor and once the elevator opened I saw a projector with this character taped up and stuff being throw at it. At first I was interested on finding out what’s happening but I realized maybe it’s purpose was to disgust the audience which worked in my perspective. Overall it was a great experience, it changed my perspective on how music can change the setting of a room and how angles can affect the perception of an audience during a video.
