Artistic Statement

I have always been a person who love to learn new ideas and apply  hard work. I always like to think in a critical manner. I never think my opinion as the right or the only interpretation of an art. I enjoy how art opens up human’s thought processes. Art is something that I love to do as a passion  as it helps me to get closer to the dimensions that is created in our mind. The great art of nature actually inspires me to do artistic work. The beautiful rock that is seating in an abandon road or the lonely tree in the side walk helps me to create stories in my own thought process. We as human being never get time to be close to nature and that’s the reason we are not always happy. The art work makes me feel real and happy as I connect myself with the nature and try to be a part of it.

\My work as an artist is driven from the idea of understanding the nature and making it a composition between fun and entertainment of real world. Taking picture in beautiful landscape of nature and giving touch of animation and photo edit creates relationships between the nature and our busy surrounding.

The Art of Noises

I really enjoyed reading the text especially because he opened thought process regarding the noises that is created in our surrounding. In our everyday life we confront so many noises that we start to hate it. If we just take ourselves away from the rush and busy life of ours we will be able to listen to the noises that actually make us feel alive. As he explained in the text,”Some will object that noise is necessarily unpleasant to the ear. The objection is futile, and I don’t intend to refute it, to enumerate all the delicate noises that give pleasant sensations. To convince you of the surprising variety of noises, I will mention thunder, wind, cascades, rivers, streams, leaves, a horse trotting away, the starts and jumps of a carriage on the pavement, the white solemn breathing of a city at night, all the noises made by feline and domestic animals and all those man’s mouth can make without talking or singing.”. This make me feel to take a moment an experience and enjoy the sound that is around me and try to feel it from the root.

Paul : Technologies as a tool

The digital Art is the central point between Technology and Art with a great impact to new development on presentation and communication to viewers. Digital art focuses on the beauty of each element and how they form together with one another with no recognizable formal subject being imposed on the listener by the artist. Paul smith’s writing talks about how the manipulation of image can be artistic and how it can impact the society in general. He mentioned that the use of digital technology creates a composite and collage image, which give the image an extra dimension. He talks about hyperreal in photography. Hyperrealism is the illusion of reality based upon the photographic images that attempt to represent reality. Paul smith also mention how an image can lose is naturalistic aspects of representation due to the redefine manipulations of the image. I really got amazed by Huber’s photography. He used the scientific nature of the image and turned it into an artificial artifact. The combination of analog and digital technology in Huber’s work really change the perception of thinking. William Lathan behavioral algorithm boost up the artistic creation procedure. The chapter is all about different form of art that is created by some sort of touch of technology. The innovation in technology give artist a new way of thinking and creating art. They all created something extra ordinary out of ordinary image through the help of technology.

Lev Manovich : The Language of New Media

The chapter one in the books explained the definition of New media. The author explained new media by comparing it with the old media like tv, newspaper. According to Lev Manovich, the computer is a meta-medium, as a support tool for production and consumption of new media objects. The chapter talks about the five principles of New media and they are numerical representation, modularity, automation, variability and transcoding. They are not laws, but rather general tendencies, which also reflect the order of post-industrial society. While modern media allowed mass production of images, the new media is based on “individual customization” (p. 51). For example, the variability principle enables the new media object exist in many different versions, which corresponds to the contemporary logic of “production on demand” (p. 56). Modularity is how media elements are compiled together into a larger media object and how each elements can work itself without being a part of the larger object. It was a very interesting chapter. I really enjoyed it. There are lot of information regarding new media and its role in the science and society.

McLuhan_the_medium_is_the_message

The idea of new media in this new growing environment really make me think how we are too much involved with the social media or the other media. Its inevitable for us to get out of it. It is our responsibility to help each other to control the information we share. It make me think how he mentioned how media and us are connected. It was interesting to know that how our sense alters and our perception also change in the same way. McLuhan tells us that a “message” is, “the change of scale or pace or pattern” that a new invention or innovation “introduces into human affairs.” (McLuhan 8). He wants to tell us that new invention always bring changes in our inner self. A McLuhan message always tells us to look beyond the obvious and seek the non-obvious changes or effects that are enabled, enhanced, accelerated or extended by the new thing.
