On December 2nd, 2009, I went to the work shop called Blood Drive. It was at the first floor of VC-campus. I did once donated blood in my high school so that I had the experience. When I got there, there was a receptionist. Also there were nurses and doctors, too. Of course, there were many snacks and juices for participants since they need energy to donate blood. I went there with my girlfriend, Sora. We asked what is the minimum weight to donate the blood and the answer was 110 lbs. Sora was underweighted so she couldn’t donate the blood. Of course, I weight more than 110 lbs so I could donate my blood. However, since my next class is right after 20 minutes I couldn’t donate my blood. From my experience, I knew it would take longer than 20 minutes. Not only that but also I had to go to a work after the class. When I donated my blood in my high school, even though I had juices and snacks, I felt so dizzy and tired. I couldn’t do anything after donating my blood and I had to sleep all day long after the donation. Since I had work to do after school, and knew what I would feel after donating my blood (dizzy and tired), I decided not to participate on it. I felt sorry for people who need my blood, but I couldn’t help it. Next time when our school have another blood drive, I promise that I will participate on that.
