The enrichment workshop was somewhat dull. Learning that we leave many digital footprints every day was sort of an eye opener. The rest of the session wasn’t something new to me because I’m aware of the online digital identities and how potential employers can see a person’s social networking profiles. I wasn’t inspired in any way by this workshop but it wasn’t a total buzzkill because the presenter had some decent jokes.

I think the enrichment workshop was interesting because I don’t think we realize how much of our information we share online and how we present that information. I thought the speaker gave good advice when he talked about what we can do to control our digital identity such as posting pictures of us in the workplace, or creating blogs or other personal websites. I’ll definitely be watching what I post and how I post it.

I think the Enrichment workshop was very informative. It made me more aware that it’s up to me to present myself on the internet. How I share my information and how I present myself out there is very crucial. You never know who will search you up, ranging from a job consultant or your current boss. I think I’m definitely going to start making more blogs about me and how I really am in person. Hopefully who I am on the internet can soon be the same as who I am in person. (Scaling from 1-10 about if I’m different online compared to in person, I guess I’m a 2.5)

I found the enrichment workshop a bit repetitive but still helpful. Although I had already heard several times that what one puts online can affect greatly how other people see you, the reminders that we got didn’t hurt. I think it is even more important now to be careful of the kind of things we put online since in the near future many of us will be applying for internships and jobs. It is important for us to have a good reputation online because of this. Also, I found really helpful the tips that we got on how we can start making our online identity appealing to people that hire employees. This workshop inspired me to start using the recommendations that I received to start building a positive online identity.

I found the enrichment workshop very interesting. I was aware of the fact that many people are not what they act like on the internet, but I never put in the thought that maybe, I, myself might be doing that as well. The workshop instilled in my head to only act how I’d act in person, on the internet. Now, whenever I post something on any social media site, I always think to myself, “would I say/do this in person”. I feel like that’s really good to always keep yourself in check. When the speaker spoke of the dangers of social media (endangering yourself) I kinda rolled my eyes a little bit. My parents and my high school, made it a point to show me how much damage one can do to themselves on the internet. I found what the speaker was saying kind of repetitive but still important.

I already kind of had an idea of what I wanted my digital identity to be like. This was important to me in a way that I learned how to keep up the way in which I want my digital to identity to look. As of right now I think my identity is pretty sound, mostly because of what shaped it. For example the people who I think look at things that have to do with my digital identity like my family and friends, therefore I know what I want to censor and what I want to be seen as far as pictures and statuses. However I never thought about how to make my digital identity look better such a taking more pictures around work areas and posting productive things. I think that was the most important thing to know for the job application process and things of that stature. But yeah lol. That’s how I felt 🙂

The enrichment workshop was very helpful when it came to figuring out which classes it would be best for me to take next semester. Without this workshop I doubt I would have known all that I do now. While at the workshop I was able to create a pretty specific guideline of what classes I would like to take next semester.

My first three months here at Baruch College have really flew by quiet quickly. When I look at the New York skyline, I see how that represents my time here so far. When looking at the skyline, you are overblown with so many buildings and so many different buildings to look for. Similarly when first arriving at Baruch you are overblown with so much new information, you’re just starting to figure out the system. You never feel satisfied when looking at the skyline, you don’t look away and think you finally completely understand the system. As a freshman that’s how i feel about Baruch, there is so much to do, so much to figure out it almost seems like I’ll ever truly know the entire ins-and-outs of the school. In one sentence, I’d say my time here gave me a sense of clarity in knowing the basics, yet I understand there’s so much more I don’t get just yet.

For or my first three months I chose a picture of traffic. Commuting to Baruch every day from Brooklyn has definitely bee a trip. Although I love the city it is super time consuming dealing with all the traffic in between boroughs.

My first few months of college has been okay. The days fly by super quick, I can’t believe I almost completed one semester. I would’ve never imagined myself at Baruch last year, so I came into the school having not that great expectations. I just really wanted to do well in every class and possibly transfer out, but now I think I might stay, Baruch isn’t as bad as I thought, and I think I got my bang for the buck here. It’s NYC thus full of opportunities and internships, and I’m super grateful for my current paid internship. I heard that Baruch would be lacking in terms of the social aspect being that it is a commuter school and all. However I haven’t found that to be a problem, and college and everything in life is what you make it. in high school I recall wanting to be more active through joining more clubs and teams, and I hoped to change that in college. I choose Agnes because I am excited for the future as well as my next four years here in Baruch.
