Assignment #3

th

These first three months at Baruch have gone by fairly quickly in my opinion. I’m not really going to complain about much cause there’s not much to complain about, its just class and sleep really. I don’t think I did nearly as much as I could have in the past three months. I guess I didn’t really have that motivation for school earlier on, hopefully next semester will be better. I’m really happy I have a three day weekend though so college definitely does have its perks, I won’t lie. I almost feel like I all I’ve done is sleep in my time off campus, I don’t really have any vivid first day of school or second week of school memories, it kinda just happened and then it was over. I do sleep a lot and I don’t socialize very much. I just exist, I might want to change that next semester.

The First Three Months

image

My first three months here have gone by pretty quickly. I feel like think go by fast when you are enjoying yourself so I guess that mean that I like it here. I’ve met a lot of knew people and I’m a student athlete which is great because I get awesome perks like priority registration but I noticed that I really tired. I think that because of a mixture of things. I’m a lot more social now, I’m a student athlete and sometimes the work load gets pretty heavy. Other than that I don’t think I really have any complaints or I just can’t thing of them right now. Except for Sociology, oh man I hate that class.

Oh yeah! I think I made a mistake scheduling my class all so early in the morning, it’s always a struggle to motivate myself to get up. Dont get me wrong, it’s great getting out super early and having the day to myself but most of my friends don’t even get out was early as I do so I often find myself waiting around for them.

It has been three months since I have started at Baruch and it feels like time has gone by so fast. I still remember the first day. I was so confused about how the classrooms were numbered. It was so different than my high school because there were so many people and everything was so big. However, over the past 3 months I’ve learned many things like managing my time and prioritizing. I love that we do not have classes on Fridays and that school is only 4 days a week. The image that I chose to convey my past three months in Baruch is the New York City skyline during sunrise. It represents my mornings and how difficult it is for me to wake up early and get ready for class. Every morning is a struggle. However, I do enjoy going to school and I really appreciate the friends I have made here.

Assignment Three

I’m going to be artsy fartsy and use two gifs to describe my 1st semester at Baruch.

The first three months of my first semester has been pretty hectic and “windier,” than usual. But I’m not complaining. The wind has thrown me into a couple rough patches but I think I managed to “balance” myself out at the end. I’m not doing too terrible but I’m also not at my “A,” game, so when next semester rolls around, I’ll be fully transitioned and ready to go. Surprisingly, the first three months didn’t even seem like three months. It felt like an entire year has already passed and we’re getting ready to go our separate ways for break. Despite, the fact that there are fewer class days than an average high school year, that means that the curriculum is super condensed and it can be a little daunted at times. Especially if’ you’re not the greatest at pre- calculus, and I’m Asian. Haha. I’ll have to admit. The atmosphere of being a college student, meeting exciting new friends, the bustling streets of New York City and the experience itself is priceless. Now that the semester is coming to the end and everyone is rushing to register for the classes they want, I have two words for myself:

Assignment III

Personally, I think these first three months have been so much easier than high school ever was. The “no-school Fridays” definitely play a huge role. I also like how we only have two or three classes per day as opposed to six. I don’t have as much homework as I did in high school, which is actually so convenient because I need extra time to shop and go on Tumblr. The best part about school is I get to be in New York City. I love sitting on the steps of the Met pretending I’m Blair Waldorf and eating at the same restaurants as Carrie Bradshaw. I’m not from here, so maybe that’s why it all seems so fascinating to me. The downside is that even in the city that never sleeps, I still need sleep. In fact, I need so much sleep that I’ve started this new thing where I take four hour naps after school which is strange to me because I’m usually not a nap person at all.

I’ve also learned a lot about myself – one thing being that I’d rather study fashion. I think being business major is great and all; but it’s just really not for me. I’d rather do something along the lines of journalism, styling and design. (I’m aware those are three completely different fields, but I’ll find a way to combine them.) In addition to that, I’m starting acting school this upcoming winter. So although I do not think I will be staying at Baruch for all four years, I did have a gratifying first three months and I may or may not be transferring next semester/year.

I agree.

The first three months of Baruch have been good so far. I slacked off a lot as a second term senior and promised myself I would get things done once I started college. I have been doing that, but it’s always when something is almost due. It’s not that I’m lazy but I’ve found myself being really tired lately, probably because of this icky cold weather. So, I often spend my free time sleeping instead of productive work. Aside from my procrastinating habits, my time at Baruch have been nice. I was expecting much worse, like having no social life being a CUNY and all. I’m glad I was wrong on that because I’ve made some great new friends and got to know a whole bunch of neat people!

Somehow I feel that my three months at Baruch has been fast and slow at the same time. School keeps me busy everyday with classes and homework and tests and activities, sometimes I feel a little exhausted. This month I have midterm tests and papers every week. Lately I haven’t had enough sleep, so I’m looking forward to Friday to get some sleep. Other than that, I have been doing quite well in school. I also met some interesting people and made new friends. I’m trying to get involved in clubs. However, sometimes I miss my family and friends in my country, because I feel as if I am separated from them since forever already. Looking back, my experience here is good, although it has been only a short time. I’m really looking forward to the Spring semester here at Baruch!

My first 3 months at at Baruch have gone by pretty fast. I had to make the transition from slacking off and being carefree in High School to actually doing hw and papers for college. Especially since the semester is ending in about a month. I have a bunch of papers to do and tests to take near the end. But Im still enjoying the freedom of college being able to do whatever you want during your breaks and also having only four days of school makes college a little bit easier. Another thing I also liked is that I can play basketball in the gyms whenever I want so now I can still play basketball indoors when it’s too cold to play outside.

My First 3 months at Baruch have gone by very fast. It was honestly a blur and I cant even remember my first day. That is why I chose this picture of that adorable animal because that is how I feel about my experience so far. It has been a smooth transition and ride just like a good nights sleep. I am looking forward to what Baruch will have to offer in the future and I am excited to join the athletic association. Baruch has been a great place so far and I am happy that I am here.

Assignment 3

Well, my image is a clock and the reason why I chose a clock is because these three months have gone by very quickly and finals are right around the corner. I’m also beginning to pick classes for my next semester here at Baruch, so time really does fly by and these four years are going to be over before I know it. I hope I get to continue to meet new people and create new experiences for myself and enjoy life outside of Baruch at the same time.
