1. What was the “theme” your group selected for your front page, and how did you select it? How did the articles you selected fit within that theme?

The theme of our group was food. It was easily agreeable since we can all relate and love food. Well I’m a huge fan of sushi so I personally searched for Japanese related articles. My article is on global effects and the articles just fell in place. Affected food globally.

2. What was your individual role in the group process working on the NYT project?

Well I was the appointed leader so the only thing different I did was name the site and just add my fellow group members on to the site as admin. I also took some time to edit the page and a few post. My role was on global effects of food and I had my other group members choose upon national, local, and bearcat news.

3. How has your experience within this project influenced your understanding of “news literacy”?

Well I still strongly dislike newspaper and news in general, although I can appreciate it’s uses.
