I am kind of disappointed with my first three months of college. Although it was fun and I learned many new things, it was not what I expected. College was always a hyped up subject, but it really feels like high school to me. The work load is similar and the classes aren’t that much harder. On the other hand, I do like my classes, specifically philosophy. That is a subject that I’ve always wanted to learn about. The Intro to Business class I’m taking is another great class. My favorite part about it was that we were able to spend some time on the Trading Floor. My whole schedule is amazing because I love walking out of college at the end of my classes knowing that I don’t have to come back the next day. Yet another great thing about my last few months was meeting new kinds of people with different ideas. One of the most challenging parts, is finding that balance between this social life, good grades and most importantly sleep. As I am making my new schedule for next semester, I will keep all of this in mind and try to continue learning from my experiences at Baruch.

My group chose to make health the theme of our project. We used this theme because many people disregard their health when they go to college. We wanted to bring some health issues to attention and remind everyone to take care of themselves. I chose my article because it is about a national issue. The article reminded me that political issues will now affect me more than ever. My role in the group was to find a article about health on a national scale and to provide a summary about it. This project helped me understand how to organize with a group and put together new articles with a similar theme.

Hi, my name is Michael Wysocki, and these are 8 pictures that I think represent who I am. The first picture, of coffee, is of course what’s keeping me up this late, doing this assignment. It is what helps me get through most days and always helps me enjoy my day to its fullest. I have a passion for trying out new foods, but sushi is always on the top of the list. I often say that I could live solely off of eating sushi. The next four pictures show that although I live in a city, I am an out doors kind of guy. I don’t like having to join a team to play a sport, but I really enjoy calling up a few friends on weekends to play a quick pick up game of soccer. Living in the city also means I don’t often get to drive. Despite this, I still love driving. Whether its on the streets of NYC or when I was out on the beautiful roads of Arizona, driving a car is one of the best experiences for me. On the other hand, I like to do things that give you that rush of excitement. Skiing has become one of those things in my life. Every time I stand on the top of a mountain, on the snow, with my skis on, I know that what happens in the next few minutes is all up to me and my abilities. This leads to the next picture, which is the ultimate thing I want to experience. Wing suit gliding, the scariest most absurd thing I have ever seen someone do for “fun”. While all these things may seem crazy, I believe that my desire to overcome my fear of extreme heights is what drives me forward to new experiences. On the calmer side of life, I also like photography. The 7th picture is one I recently took of the Triborough Bridge. The last picture is another one I took, and it is of my dog, who really helped me understand the meaning of the saying “mans best friend.”
