NO-CARD

My experience at Baruch thus far!!!

Confused

I really cannot explain how I feel at this moment about Baruch. Sometimes I feel good about my decision, other times I don’t. I am still confuse, but I guess it has nothing to do with the college. I still have so many things to figure out and hopefully by next semester I will be more organized and ready to start having that great college experience everyone always mentions. During my three moths at Baruch I did attended some events ( Caribbean night), and I also tried to sign up for the dance team, but I couldn’t find a compromise in my schedule. Hopefully by next semester I will browse through all the fun and opportunities this college has to offer.

Blog Post #2

The theme we chose as a group revolved around diversity. Since our group was mixed with ethnicities, we decided to choose articles that show diversity in all its ways. My individual role was to find two articles that illustrate the advantage of a diverse school and how can a school with a predominant ethnicity affects other individuals in that particular school. This project gave me the incentive to dig more and look for more articles that explain the strength and weaknesses of a particular subject.

Email to a professor

Dear Professor Braimah,

This is Danislene Foueback from your ENGLISH 2100 10:20am class. I am sorry for missing the midterm last Wednesday, I was admitted to the hospital the night before. I regret missing the exam, and I am hoping you might be able to give me a chance to retake the exam. I wouldn’t like an illness to decrease my chances of passing your class.

I would appreciate whichever option you give me.

Sincerely,

Danislene Foueback K. ENG 2100, 10:20-12am

My life Journey

My name is Danislene Foueback. For this assignment, I have decided to use pictures that I took during my High School years. The first picture is a picture of me. I used it because I believe that everyone has a story and every story starts with the storyteller. The second slide is my country’s flag. I was born in Cameroon and I lived there for fifteen years. Cameroon is located in central Africa. I moved to the United States about 3 years ago. I love to dance ( I am a dancer) and I love to act ( I was Aunt’ Em from the Wizard of Oz once). I was a peer educator for TORCH which is a leadership program that allow students or teenagers to have an impact on their peers. Basically, I was going around the city to facilitate workshops on topics related to sexual health and reproductive rights. Teenagers are entitled to know their rights, especially when these rights pertain to how to take care of their bodies. Through the program, I visited many places including the State Capitol building in Albany where I had the chance to meet with many important figures of the New York State government. I will miss a lot of people, but I guess that is how life goes. Nothing is permanent in life. Every chapter requires a new page and it introduces a new topic. That being said, that chapter of my life is now closed, it is more of a memory now. The last picture on the slide show is a picture of me again and I am wearing bright colors and very happy. This just means that I am ready to take on the challenges that awaits me, and I am starting my new journey anew. I like to take chances, and I am a bit selfish when it comes to my life. I have principles that I live by, and they have helped me to stay focus and get rid of the irrelevant things. In other words, my journey starts with me, and shall end with me.
