Me, Myself & I
HI! My names Paola& yup, I’m Ecuadorian. This is a picture of me wearing one of our traditional outfits for an Ecuadorian cultural event. The skirts super heavy, the shirts itchy, and I’m not much of a hat person, but I’d never turn down an opportunity to dress up like a “Cholita”.
Although I’m glad to be out of there, I can’t deny that Westlake High School & the grad class of ’13 were and will continue to be important to me. They were irritating, obnoxious, and allllwayyss screamed ‘hair ball’ in the hallways (don’t ask why, because I’m still waiting for someone to explain), but I spend the best and the worst 11 years of my life with them. It’s no secret that the entire school district celebrated when we left, after all we were the worst class that walked through those hallways, but hey, at least we left our mark, right?
The few people who made being a Westlaker a little less torturous. To go from seeing their faces 24/7 to a couple of selfies here and there honestly sucks. Now they’re off to St. John’s, Bowling Green State, New Haven, SUNY Buffalo, University of Maryland, and Stony Brook.
Oh hey girl 😉 She’s my best friend, my partner in crime, the person I talk to nonstop, the one who knows more about me than I do, I mean this girl is practically my sister. Now she’s off in Queens, only a train ride away, but still very very far away from me.
What girl doesn’t love chocolate? If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life I’d be more than happy with a life time supply of Snickers. Legit the best chocolate bar ever created & if you haven’t had one I am judging you.
My other half and my worst enemy all in one. This midget, who actually isn’t so little anymore, is my entire world. I love her to infinity and beyond, although getting asked if she’s my daughter is starting to get on my nerves. Do I really look that old?
These two love birds <3 My madray & padray. The only people who will always be by my side no matter how many times I disappoint them. I know everyone says the same about their parents, but I do owe it all to them. If they hadn’t pushed me I don’t think I would have even gotten through the first day of kindergarden. One’s a complete goofball and the other’s totally not, but they make it work. All I can say is you can’t help but those these two kids.
