FRO13 LC10

Walking into the room I was expecting to fall asleep.  I thought it would be repetitive and I pictured professors going on about studying and doing the right thing or whatever.  I was surprised however to see mostly students in the front.  Some were only a year older than us.  I though the presentation was very interesting.  All the students who were up there were all part of something.  All of them were either president, vice president, or in charge of something.  When they were talking about how involved they are and all the benefits they got from it, it really made me want to be apart of a few clubs.  Showing leadership like that makes your resume look so much better than the next person.  One of the girls that were up there even got job opportunities because of the sorority she is apart of.  You can network so much when your apart of these and apart of the many events these clubs host.  Right now, after I finish classes I usually go home right away because I don’t have anything else to do.  I would feel so much more involved if I was apart of an organization or club.  I stopped my self from joining any clubs this semester so I can focus on my classes and transitioning successfully.  Next semester however, I have so much planned out for my self.  I hope to join Women in Business next semester.
