The Enrichment Workshop initially seemed to be something I didn’t take seriously. But, as it did go on, and other leaders came through, I began to realize that this is something I should take seriously. If I was going head to head for a job with any of them, they would definitely get the job because of their credentials. They have the qualities workplaces look for. They have experience. One girl that stood out was the girl in the sorority who talked a lot. She reminded me of myself, I can’t shut up. I like to take charge and I always wanted to join a sorority. Her story was inspiring because I related it back to myself. Right now, at Baruch, I know my capabilities, but I can’t act upon them because I feel intimidated as a first semester freshman. I want to work towards being in a sorority, as well as joining clubs. Everyone is always talking about wanting to join clubs and attaining leadership positions, but it’s hard to newly join and make your place is in it.
