The enrichment workshop (AKA: Rubin museum visit) did not resonate with me personally because i’m not that religious of a person, however it was cool to learn about other cultures. We also did not get to explore the whole museum do to time constraints, so that could have also got in the way. My favorite piece however was the prayer room, because it seamed very peaceful, it was a peaceful piece, HA! see what I did there. The room its self was very intricate and had many smaller components, all of witch held a meaning, from the material it was made out of to its position in the room, it all mattered. It was this detail that made me relies how much their gods mattered to them, and I found that type of faith in theirs gods crazy.

This is a photo that I took and edited. This photo relates to me because not only is photography a passion of mine, but this is literally the view outside of my window. It is a sunrise and symbolic this relates to my time here at Baruch and in New York. Previously living on the west coast, we get beautiful sunsets, however I have not really seen a beautiful sunrise, and I feel that it is nicer seeing something coming than going. A sunrise is a new beginning, just as my time here at Baruch has been a new and bright experience.

I am part of the group Basil and Cheese, the best group of them all, and we decided to focus on food. I had food in the national perspective (link: https://blogs.baruch.cuny.edu/basilandcheese/?p=5 ). The article that I read was an interview of sorts of  Wes Jackson. He talked about how a new type of farming could ease the strain on the environment and the agriculture industry’s carbon footprint. These news farms are called Perennial Polycultures and more closely resemble nature, with many of species of plants living in one area. The main benefit to this style is that the farm itself is sustainable, therefore it does not need to be replanted every year. This has several benefits to the environment, all that are discussed in my article. This is an issue that should be addressed because farming has become extremely industrialized and unnatural. Our system (called Annual Monocultures) harms the land and creates involuntary greenhouse gasses such as the fuel it takes to bring new seeds or pesticides to farms. In addition to this the process is extremely chemical, destroying small animals including insects, causing harm on their ecosystems. This new, revolutionary, way of looking at farming will hopefully do something to soften our blow on the environment.

This is my old High school, Carlmont, it is in Belmont california. I have had many fun times here, and it is where I met the majority of my friends.

This is Linda Mar, a beach in Pacifica, This is where I surfed with my friends, there is also a Taco Bell right on the beach (its off the picture, so your just going to have to trust me) witch is super convenient.

This was the last photo I took with all of my friends, unfortunately not everyone was there, but it was at a going away/surprise birthday lunch type thing. The two guys with their hands under their faces, looking all cute and stuff are my best friends Connor and Trevor (trevy), and help me develop into the person I am today.

This is AT&T Park, where the San Francisco Giants play, I am a big baseball fan, and ever since I was little my dad had always brought us to games

This is my car (not the exact one but same year and color and everything). I love my car because everyone drives in California, and once you get your licence you basically get your freedom, so my car and I have been through some adventures.

Live 105 is my favorite radio station back home, it plays alternative rock, and it’s one of those stations where I will be like “they should play (what ever awesome song” and then out of no where that song comes on.

This is a photo I took (actually my friend took it with my camera) and edited of my friend while driving up to the city, It was for my photography class. photography is hobby of mine, I don’t normally take photos of people, and instead take really abstract, over edited ones, but I like this one.

for all of you with sad childhoods, who have never seen alice in wonderland, this is the cheshire cat, and I would not say that he is a role model, however I do like him although I’m not 100% sure why.
