Music is something everyone interprets and perceives differently and is probably the best way to express or cope with your feelings. Thousands of music subgenres and cultures are apparent all over the world, and everyone has various artists that they listen to the most. The playlist I created truly describes me as an individual. Even though some of these songs may seem a bit crude or vulgar, the lyricism is not always what makes them appealing, as it is sometimes the overall feel to the song that draws me in. The 90s classics from rappers and groups like Big L, Big Pun, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, and De La Soul represent the more inquisitive and thought provoking part of me. These are the artists that truly pulled me into music as a whole. They are the citadel of my musical choice, and will always be my true favorites. However, artists and groups like A$AP Rocky, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, Slayer and Odd Future portray the more profound and active lifestyle I live. I often listen to this music to get me pumped before I do any work or go out at night. I like to think that I like all types of music and thus it was extremely difficult for me to only pick ten songs out of the myriad songs I have on my iPod.
