Coming from a competitive high school where time was very scarce and had to be managed properly meant that I had learned the ability to be able to excel at situations when deadlines were approaching fast. However, at Baruch College, the abnormal amounts of free time in my schedule has cost me the ability to work to my potential. The days when I would have a two to four hour break in between my classes meant that I have wasted time that I could have spent working or resting at home. It took many weeks for me to get used to this extra time and I decided that in order to reduce this extra time, I found some activities to participate in at Baruch. Even if Baruch isn’t the same as my high school, I will learn to enjoy my time at Baruch discovering new activities that weren’t offered to me before.
