In the YouTube playlist I have created, there are ten songs that represent who I am as a person, what I feel and think about, what I am currently facing in life, and what I want to achieve. The first song, “Wide Awake,” represents my transition from living at home and relying on my parents to living on my own and taking care of myself. It was an awakening to how pampered my life was before this change and how hard life actually is. The second song, “She Will Be Loved” signifies how important the idea of love is to me and how I think everyone should have someone in their life that would love them forever and unconditionally. I think I might already found that person. The third song, “Empire State of Mind,” shows my love and admiration for New York. I believe that New York is the center of the world where you can find and experience everything and anything. Since being in the city brings me much happiness and joy, I hope to live and work here permanently one day. The fourth song, “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” represents my perseverance in life. I believe that in life, there will always be obstacles and challenges but they are meant to make you stronger as a person. I have not let challenges stop me from accomplishing my goals and I will never allow it. The fifth song, “Try,” signifies what I attempt to do everyday in my life: suppress my fears and try everything, at least once. You cannot fully live life without trying new things and gaining experiences from them or you will live an incomplete life with regrets. The sixth song, “Shake It Out,” shows how I try to tell myself to let go of, or “shake off,” any anger, sadness, or bad feelings after something unfortunate happens to me and to move on with life as best as I can. The seventh song, “Feel Again,” represents a message I send myself daily which is to slow down sometimes and remember to embrace life wholeheartedly, including the good and the bad. I try to not let anything pass before my eyes, even the most minuscule events. The eighth song, “The Scientist,” shows how I sometimes feel like going back in time and changing certain things in my life. However, I know that is not possible and I just have to make the best of my present and future. The ninth song, “I’m Like A Bird,” shows how I often want to “fly” away from my troubles and worries. Additionally, it shows how I never wish to stay in one place forever. I want to leave or move as I wish. The tenth song, “I Was Here,” represents how I want to leave a legacy, or a footprint, on this world. I want to be remembered for who I was, what I did, and what I left behind after I depart from this world.
