Pictures that represent who I am

To describe myself within eight images seemed to be quite easy yet when I tried to choose the eight images, it proved quite difficult. The images are not in any sort of order because I feel that although some are more important than others, they all describe me equally. To those unfamiliar, the first image is the mascot of a website called Reddit. Reddit to me is like the “front page of the Internet,” it includes news from around the world, pictures ranging from cute kittens to bloody accidents, subreddits for specific interests, and much more. I chose to include it because it is my go to website when I’m bored, I go to it even more than I go to Facebook. I included my favorite game, League of Legends because it is what I love doing in my free time. It is also a hobby my boyfriend and I both share and we love working together to improve our skills. When I’m not on the computer, I love trying out new recipes, playing around with arts and craft, and drawing. I got into these hobbies because I’ve been quite shy as a child so I turned to activities that did not require talking. I have continued to pursue these interests because I love admiring the results especially when I bake cakes for my family and friends. It makes me really happy that they enjoy my cooking. When I finish a piece for arts and craft or drawing, it makes me excited to see that something that previously only existed in my head is now materialized in reality. As an Asian, my diet for most of my life included rice. My grandmother used to cook me fried rice for lunch every day when I came back from elementary school. I feel kind of unsatisfied if I do not eat rice at least once every other day. I first started swimming when I was around nine years old and it quickly became my favorite sport. However, I had to quit around freshmen year of high school due to time constraints. Ever since I quit, every chance that I have to swim, I have enjoyed it tremendously. I decided to include the Baruch Bearcats as my last picture because I am just a fellow student who is trying my best to fit into the college life. I believe that Baruch will become a large part of my future life.

  1. Michelle,
I also like to include rice in my everyday diet, sometimes even for breakfast. Baruch has a swimming pool in the gym area, you should definitely check that out.
    Best,
    Shanima
