Our trip to the Rubin Museum was a nice and enlightening break from our college work. I had expected many sculptures and painting exhibits, but what faced us was mainly art from the Himalayas. It was interesting to be immersed in a different culture other than the American culture that we’re all familiar with and used to. My favorite parts were the prayer room and room where the walls were covered from floor to ceiling with pictures. The prayer room was especially unique in that it was set up the way it would be in a home of that culture. I’m glad that we got acquainted with such an extraordinary place so close to Baruch College.
