Before our visit last Thursday, I was unfamiliar with the Rubin Museum. I had planned to visit the museum on my own one day because of my love for museums and the Rubin Museum’s correspondence with Baruch College. I practice Buddhism myself and it was intriguing to see Buddhism in the light of a different culture. Even though some meanings and images sounded and looked familiar to me, others were completely new. My favorite part of the museum was the praying room. I have a section in my home that is solely dedicated to praying and it was interesting to see the similarities and differences between what I saw at the museum and what I was used to seeing.
