this picture describes who i am because ice-t is one of my favorite characters in a television show which i enjoy very much which is law and order SVU and i’ve also seen a few hip hop documentaries which he has directed so that’s also interesting. the ice cubes, because i have a habit of chewing on ice cubes. all together i really love tea, i drink it everyday and the setting in this picture looks like it’s a picnic in the summer, two things which i love – picnics and the summer. i never thought a picture like this could describe my life so well actually.
I am a strong believer in that every day there is room for improvement and opportunity to learn new things. I think that in order to fully place confidence in this notion, you need to be very open to change, because let’s face it things are changing all the time, constantly, and everything is subject to change. I think that the most important thing I’ve learned in my life so far is how to think positively. I mean, if you really consider it, there is no point in moping around and feeling bad about yourself because really what does it even accomplish? If you want to see a change in something, get up off your ass and make that change yourself. And if you can’t do anything to change a given situation, ACCEPT THAT. There are some things you just have to go along with, and part of growing up is learning how to differentiate between the things you can change, and the things you cannot. Accept that there is always a possibility for things to go wrong so they cease to upset you. Appreciate everything and everyone; be grateful and you will lead a more satisfying life I can almost guarantee you. Soon you will be questioning how you’ve lived your life for so long the way you have before.
Anyone who knows me at all can tell you that I am an extremely avid reader, so you can pretty much always find me with a book in my hand (and probably four more in my bag). Two of my favorites are A Clockwork Orange and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Coincidentally, both of these books have ties to this song. In the The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle the main character is described as listening to this song while cooking pasta, and in A Clockwork Orange, this song is featured on the soundtrack of the movie.
I love Frank Sinatra’s ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ because it will never fail to cheer me up. Like I’m almost positive that it’s impossible for me to be angry or upset while listening to Frank Sinatra and I’ve always enjoyed his music. Also, this song is Monica Geller’s (character played by Courtney Cox) favorite song in ‘Friends’ which is my favorite T.V. series so that worked out pretty nicely.
A Tribe Called Quest is one of my favorite music groups and it was really hard for me to choose just one song of theirs to include in this list. I’m a really big fan of old school rap/hip-hop/R&B especially Tribe because it has such a different vibe from music that is listened to today.
Among the few music producers I listen to, MF Doom is definitely one of my favorite. This instrumental in particular helps me to relax and unwind.
One of my favorite bands (if not my favorite) is The Strokes. They’re the only band which I have every single song they’ve written in my phone. Also, listening to The Strokes has really helped me broaden my range of music which I listen to because prior to them, I never really listened to alternative music.
Obviously, by now you realize that my music taste is very diverse. I keep a very open mind and I will give anything a chance before claiming I don’t like it. Louis Armstrong’s La Vie en Rose is another one of my favorites, because like Frank Sinatra, it never fails to brighten my day.

I always thought I hated house/electronic music.. until I listened to Disclosure. This is my favorite song by the duo, and it just so happens that I was born in January.

Overrated at it may seem, this will always be one of my favorite Beatles songs. I know every last word of it by heart and I have this thing where every time it rains, and I’m on my way to school or work, or anywhere, I have to listen to it.

I love The Killers (another one of my favorite bands) and I’m not really sure why I love this song so much, but I do.
Anyone who has seen the 1998 version of The Parent Trap knows this song. Well, anyone who owns a T.V. for that matter because this song is now the theme song for the eHarmony commercials (which, unfortunately is the reason why I can’t listen to it anymore without having the image of that old man resonate in my head). Anyway, I love this song because it’s in ‘The Parent Trap’ which is my all-time favorite movie, which I have seen about a million times.
