If you click on this link and see the post you will see exactly what my life is like right now. I am paying the very stressful price of putting some things off till the end of the semester and slacking off earlier on. This is terrible. However I did learn something very important..Do Not Ignore your work till the last month unless you wanna go grey early. I know now to do everything on time and keep up with my studying, especially in math because let me tell you I don’t even know what we are up to. I never want to experience this stress again if i can help it. The post in the link is funny though so there’s that. I regret this so much, help me.

I wonder how it’s possible that there are people out there who get everything they need to get done on time and in a timely fashion. Me being the serial procrastinator that I am, it’s a wonder to me that people can focus in such a manner. If I know that i have time to complete an assignment or a task (like chores) I don’t get started right away. Like who does that?!?! No no no, see what I do is wait till the very last second and then stress out and rush through whatever it is I have to do in a 4 A.M. Red Bull Induced self hatred fueled writing extravaganza. Now if you’ll excuse me I have some work to do….right after I watch a couple of 4 hour Vine compilations on Youtube.

Guys I chose these songs because they all really mean something to me. Starting off with “Everlasting Light” by The Black Keys, I first heard this song while I was camping upstate. I don’t know why but the rhythm of the song alone just makes me happy. This is the only song that doesn’t have any significance to me…yet. “19-2000” by Gorillaz is that song that i play when things are moving too fast. It’s a great college and adulthood song to me because its about how the world and your surroundings change frequently and you’re left scrambling to adjust to the change(s). Kind of like dealing with all the new responsibilities we have as “adults”. The Velvet Underground’s “Sunday Morning ” is just a relaxing song BUT with a dark tone as it makes you feel relaxed but the lyrics in it point to how sometimes you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. “Fell in Love With a Girl” by White Stripes is just a great song. I personally feel that it recreates that hectic feeling of when you really love someone. However I always found this ironic because the song’s feeling is quite opposite to its lyrical meaning. I’ve been there, in that situation it describes. This makes it easy to lead into the next song, “No Buses” by The Arctic Monkeys which basically says that when you need something (like a bus or maybe someone’s affection) you’ll get nothing but when you don’t need it then there is more than enough to go around. I really love the next two songs which are by The Strokes. “Is This It” is that song i listen to when i feel empty and find myself disappointed by something. It strangely cheers me up because there is a sort of dark humor or apathy to it that i can relate very well to. “I Can’t Win” is that song that basically defines me. I some how always come up short in something that I really want to excel at. Some how some way I always screw up along the way and miss the mark. Close but no cigar. “In Transit” by Albert Hammond Jr. ,who is one of the guitarists in The Strokes, basically describes how there are some people out there who will try to change you and much to their dismay; they fail. This is perfect for me because I won’t change for anyone unless I know its for the positive and I won’t do it until I want to. “My Way” by THE Mr. Frank Sinatra is a song I hold close to my heart because of its message. It states that despite my stumbles and shortcomings along the way to my ultimate goal, I’m proud that I lived my life my way and did all the things i wanted to do. It’s the ultimate “pave your own path” song. I’m finally at the end of this long winded post. The Final song is my very favorite because it brings to light that love hate relationship we have with the place we live and the way we go about things. It’s just like how I love New York City. Best city ever, but I really do hate it because it’s such a pain in the ass city to live in sometimes. “A Certain Romance” captures that perfectly.
