One of the biggest problems that most freshmen have at Baruch is time management. My biggest fear is not having enough time to do everything I want to do. Besides having a full time school schedule, I have basketball practice daily and am a vital part of my friends and families lives. These three things make up whom I am and even though it may seem like a lot, I would not trade it for the world. Right now, I feel like I have control of my college life and I am thankful I have friends and family who are always there to push me forward and pick me up when I fall. After going to all my classes, I head to basketball practice with a group of wonderful ladies that teach me the importance of teamwork on and off the court which then leads me to go home to my parents and friends for moral support. I have learned that I am not alone when going through all of this. Throughout this beginning of the journey, I have learned a lot. There are sacrifices you must make but it is for what you want. The main thing in college and life is doing what is right for you and what makes you happy, not what someone wants you to do. I have stressed the thought of being able to handle everything but after some time I have learned to work through it and it really is not impossible when you manage your time well. There are so many experiences I will be open to later on in life and I cannot wait for the rest of my college years. I hope to one day grow up to work in the sports management industry and follow my hobby and career.
