I think this pretty much sums up my life at college. Although college was fun to look forward to, it was not as fun as I anticipated. The hardest thing in this semester so far was waking up to my 9:30am class and going there on time and not to procrastinate until the last minute for all my assignments. But it was still better than high school where I barely had any freedom within the school grounds and I’m looking forward to the winter break and next semester!

You can see the world full of people in just one subway ride.

Commuting every day back and forth,
From Upper East Side to the Lower East Side.

A train always full of people during the rush hour in the morning and evening has every type of person in it.

From Asians, to Europeans, to Latin Americans, to Africans.

The train travels with the world,
full of people from many places with different stories.
Working their hardest to achieve what is called, the American Dream.

That is what I see every day
in the train full of people pushing each other.

I was born and raised in Korea until the age of 10. The first picture of the slide shows my Korean passport which I’ll only have it for few more months. The second picture shows my favorite food which is the combination of chicken and beer. I had lots of it when I went to Korea this past summer because I was legal to drink since the drinking age there is only 19. The next picture includes my sister and my hands with rings on them.  We made the rings by ourselves (with a little help from a professional) this summer as a “sister ring”. We barely wear it these days but it was a really good experience because I got to talk to my sister while making the ring about things that we couldn’t talk about in daily basis. Next includes my best friends that I’ve been friends for more than 4 years. Although we don’t live near each other and don’t go to colleges near each other, we always keep in touch and skype when we have time even after we adjusted to our college lives. High school orchestra was a big part of my life for 4 years in high school. I made so many good memories excluding playing our instruments and the picture includes all the seniors at the last concert holding red roses with our best orchestra teacher. Prom was also a great memory and a great way to end the senior year. I went to the prom with one of my closest friend and with our own group of friends, the night was filled with unforgettable memories. But I’ll not go back to that night because my dress ripped on the back at the end of the night and it was not fun to worry about it every minute. Graduation was really bittersweet. I was really glad that high school was over but it brought me to tears when I realized that I wouldn’t be able to see many of my friends for a long time and that I had to say goodbye to our high school memories. The finale picture is a picture of me in NYC in the middle of the night, walking with my arms out which represents the freedom I have right now as a college student who lives in a dorm in NYC.
