Society tries to tell us not to “judge a book by its cover”. Myself along with everyone else is guilty of judging people, places, and even books too right off the back. The way you represent yourself on a day to day basis may change but every single day you have the ability to come off as someone else. No one would treat their boss the same way they treat their best friend, nor would they dress, speak or act as if it was their best friend. This isn’t any surprise, it’s just the way it is. We judge people 24/7 on a day to day basis wether it is our professors, friends, roommates, or a random face on the street, before we know them we are automatically trying to piece together their character and that is the norm. This is why everyone should be cautious how they carry themselves because if you do not like the way you are viewed there is a reason for it, you are not looking at yourself 24/7, its the millions of eyes around you. You have to portray yourself how you want to be evaluated. Do not change who you are to please others if you don’t care, just remember that there is a time and place for everything. A time and place to talk, eat, act, joke, even sit and stand differently, and we have to be able to recognize when these times are so we can leave the best impression possible, if we care too.
