A lot of things have changed–the school, the people, the environment, but most importantly, transportation. I used to be dropped to school. A twenty minute ride and I was there. But now, it takes me an hour to an hour and half to get here. First I take the bus, then the E train and finally the 6. And my god these buses and trains are packed! Once on them, there is no such thing as personal space. And once off, there is no such thing as humanity. Everyone rushes past each other, carelessly pushing and shoving through as if trying to escape an imaginary hurricane. And this is more/less a good day. The worst are when there are train delays or train accidents. On these days, I can’t even tell where the platform because there is a mob of people covering it. Despite my crazy mornings, I somehow make here in one piece. And hopefully it stays that way.
