Along the coast of South Africa, the colors of the sunset are amazing shades orange, red and pink, reflecting magnificently along the blue and purple shades of the ocean. These are the colors of my personality. I’m young and wild like red and orange and but I’m also mellow and mature and relaxed as shown in the blues.

In Cape Town, South Africa, there are a lot of beaches and big boulders, and the camera caught the perfect moment when the wave crashed upon the rocks and I pointed it at it making a funny face. I’m a free spirit, like a crashing wave, waiting to see where I’ll be taken. I’m adventurous, leading a life not constricted by boundaries.

Atop the mountain in Fish Hoek, South Africa, where I lived for five months, my friends and I went for an early morning hike. We had a chill day of stretching and exercising. I am flexible—not only physically but also mentally. I’m an adapter. I change well through the seasons of life. I’m adjustable. Sometimes you need to do a bridge and look at the world upside down to understand it better.

Division Championships for tennis my junior year of high school shows my athleticism. I’ve been a dedicated athlete for about eight years now. Tennis has always been a part of my life, as well as athletics. I see myself as an athlete, and I am proud to be an athlete for my high school, for my college, and most importantly for myself. Fitness is important to me now and will always be a part of my life.

Off the coast of Madagascar, I journal, I reflect, I remember. I stay in the moment through writing. Journaling is a consistent part of my life that I started my senior year of high school. This picture envelops my mood while journaling—reflective, calm, and being one with myself.

Life revolves around the beach where I grew up in Westhampton Beach. We go there to swim, to tan, to take a break, to read, to socialize, for bonfires, picnics, chilling, stargazing. This is the center of our small universe.

Family is the key to happiness. Nothing comes before my family, especially my baby brother. He’s not such a baby now, he is sixteen and much taller and bigger than me. But I loved him since the day he was born and I know how much he adores me.

Last but not least, I am happy. Life is a wonderful gift that we must all take advantage of. I feel, I live, and I love every step of the way.
