WHO I AM- JAMIL ZAKARIA

September 17, 2014 by j.zakaria

The 10 songs above represents a part of who I am. The first song represents desire and hard work, the lyrics talk about not giving up no matter the setback you face and that there is always another chance in life. At one point I had gave up on working hard I didn’t have a goal and thought this state of mind would stay but even with the setback I found a goal to work toward. The second song represents my characteristic. No matter who it is I put up a mask that would help me fit in. The third song represents my like toward listening to romantic songs. The fourth song represents my enthusiasm toward listen to songs from foreign country. The fifth song represents my love toward Japanese anime and culture. I would like to travel to Japan one day. The sixth song represents that no matter how bad I feel when doing something wrong, there is still something good inside me and that I should face my guilt and be optimistic. The seventh song represents my desire to learn. The eighth song represents my like toward piano music. The ninth song represents my like toward music from my culture. The final song represents my belief that most things in life can be solved with money.

I find that these song are very interesting. These songs help my understand what you like and how you think. I also learned that you don’t just listen to one type, you listen to various types with various languages. It tells me you have a broad range of interests. I really liked the piano song which was song number eight.

I find it very interesting how each songs holds a value within yourself. For example, the first song represent your desire and hard work. It shows how songs can have many similarities within you. After all, this is a great writing because every songs in your playlist correlates something to your own life.

    Hi Jamil,

I appreciate the intimate connections you have displayed with each song. I have a very close friend who moved back to Japan a few years ago and I hope to visit by next year. From the pictures she has shown me, I think that you will enjoy it there as well!!

In reference to putting up a mask, that is something we all do as we continue to discover who we are throughout life. You will eventually reach a point where you will not have to put up any masks and this will allow you to truly flourish 🙂

Hey Jamil! I really liked the fact that you have such a diverse list of songs. Most of them have beautiful melodies, such as the “wings of piano” and “my soul, your beats”. I’ve figured that you are a huge anime fan and we have some connection there along that line.
ps. Sora no otoshimono is one of the best anime, hands down
