For my blog post 3 I attended a Interview session (provided by the starr weekly) where it gave explanation on how to approach and take on specific interview questions. In this session, we specifically targeted a “case interview.” A case interview is when the person who is interviewed must ask questions to the interviewer to obtain enough enough to answer the objective question. This process allows us to use our logical thinking, organization and communication skills to the fullest. In addition, a handout was given to help us go through the steps needed to accomplish the task; repeat, ask, stop, construct, answer, loosen up, summarize. Furthermore, such a class can help individuals improve on their interviewing abilities as well as applying for jobs. I would highly recommend this session because it helps people succeed in their future.

The Baruch Club Fair presents my Student Life objective. The fair showed many different clubs and organization that one can get involved with. I ended up signing up for four clubs; United Chinese Language Association, Math Society, Korea Campus Crusade for Christ and the Hong Kong Club.  It was impressive how diverse our student body is. Moreover, the fair gives new students the opportunity to get involved with something they support or even find interest in. Individuals are given a chance to be a part of something bigger than just going home and wasting a perfectly good day. It’s a place of fun and new interactions, which I would recommend to anyone.  

The V.A.R.K Quiz in the freshman seminar student handbook allow students to understand what type of learning style best suits them. In regards to myself, it helped me choose what studying habits I should stick with, and what to take out. Moreover, I’ve changed my note taking patterns and relied upon new techniques. The results of my test concluded that I am very “Kinesthetic” based when it comes to learning. This means I learn more efficiently with my eyes than any other way, which doesn’t seem surprising; art and digital classes have always been a breeze for me. In addition, it allows me to ask my professors for help in a way that makes me comprehend easily. With all that said I think that this quiz will benefit many students in the future. Everyone should take this quiz!
