For the Career Enrichment Workshop section, I attended the Wall Street Careers Panel today. The career workshop was held in the conference center on the 7th floor in the Newman Library building. The purpose of the workshop was to give insight into Wall Street careers from the personal perspectives of Baruch alumni who all currently hold positions in successful firms. The alumni that were present were David Shuman, Eric Elefeld, Edrizio De La Cruz, Ben Crane, Julian Nemirovsky, Crisann Shair, and Jenny Yescher. Listening to the personal experiences from former Baruch students of many years to recent alumni added a very interesting dynamic to the event because each person’s personal view was different from the others. Although, I am a Pre-Med major, I attended the Wall Street Careers Panel to keep my horizons open to other possible career options.
