Freshman Seminar Blog Post 1

I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art this previous Thursday.  It was a great experience.  I went with some other people in the class and it was a fun time.  The Met was a lot larger on the inside than expected.  It had hundreds of paintings and sculptures which was incredibly impressive.  I was especially fascinated with the Washington Crossing the Delaware painting.  It was massive and took up almost the whole wall.  I also enjoyed the Babylonian section of the museum and their art in the form of coins and jewelry.  Overall, I had a fun time and I will  definitely go back to look at the paintings and read more about them.
