For my last blog post, I attended Baruch voices. It was really great to see some of the personalities of my peers. I thought a lot of them were really funny. I loved the story one of the performers told about him shadowing a doctor at a hospital. I also particularly liked the performer who read something from sponge bob. I also enjoyed some of the more serious performances. I really liked to see the representative from our group, even though he could not get music for his rap I thought it was really good even though he did it acapella. There was a really nice reaction from the crowd, everyone enjoyed it. There was also a performer who talked about her hairstyle choice and why she decided to wear her hair naturally, I thought that was really brave of her to stand up and share her experience with us. My favorite performance was a girl who talked about her experience as a black girl at Baruch. I thought her viewpoint was really powerful and I made me really think. Overal Baruch Voices was a great experience and if there are any future events I will be attending.
