On November 9th I went to the majors and minors fair. there I learned about the different majors and minors available at the college. The staff there were very friendly and kind. In addition to information about the majors and minors there was also a table for academic advisment. The same advisor that our section was assigned to happened to be there as well, and there they helped formulate my three year plan, and have me tips on what classes to take. I talked to several people sitting at different table including the finance people, the economics people, the CIS people, and the mathematics people. In the fair there was even an option to sign your email up for tips and updates from the department you signed up for. Overall it was a great learning experience for me and perhaps many other people there as well. Although I did not choose a minor yet. This fair gave me an idea in what I should choose in the near future. You may be happening to read this blog and have no idea what I am writing .well it’s because I’m writing this blog on the train while on the way to class desperately trying to fill the word limit. Also there was a guy with a beard costume taking pictures with people but I forgot to take one with him so this is what I have

The Fro Monologue
I walk in front of the building and look up.
The sign says Darul Jannah.
I walk in; it’s 10:00
Right on the dot
I look for my students, and they’re still not here.
It’s 10:10 the five troublesome students walk in.
They take out their work to complete
10 minutes later
They’re still talking and not listening to me.
One takes out his phone and starts using it.
I remember last week his dad said to use force if he doesn’t listen.
I gave him a warning.
Then grabbed his phone.
He lets go, and I fall back along with the chair.
20 minutes later
Another one pulls an e-cig out.
He stares at me straight while puffing the smoke in my direction.
I gave him a warning.
Then grabbed the e-cig.
He lets go, but I don’t fall.
The Same trick won’t work on me twice.
2 Hours later
They all leave and it’s finally done
Museum of Natural History The Second Blog
For my second blog, I decided to pay a visit to the American Museum of natural history. I visited several exhibits including the Heilbrunn Cosmic Pathway. there I learned more about the earth and solar system. Then I proceeded to visit the North American forest exhibit where it showed us the different types of forests and talked about deforestation. right next to this exhibit was the Milstein Family Hall of Ocean Life. Where you’re immediately greeted by a giant whale.
It had all kinds of animals such as otters, dolphins, and even a model of a sperm whale eating a giant squid. The next exhibit was the Bernard family hall of North American mammals. where it had a wide range of animals including grizzly bears, moose, bison, and dears, lots of dears. I also went to the new exhibit the opened in June. it’s called Inside You. the exhibit was about the bacteria the lives inside the body, and how they affect it. in there I learned about a new theory that gut bacteria might be a cause of autism and that changing it in a certain way may treat it. Unfortunately, I did not have time to go and visit the special exhibits. So I just visited a random exhibit and snapped this as photo proof.
My experience at Unicef@Baruch
Unicef General Interest Meeting
For my first blog, i decided to go to the Unicef@Baruch. When I walked in the club members were very friendly and offered me pizza. The class in which the meeting was held was filled to the brim. They then talked about Unicef’s mission to help children around the globe by giving them education, protection, and food. I learned about the struggles children go through around the world. We then played an icebreaker about what we had in common with each other, and I got to learn more about the other people in the room with me. After that, we learned about the roles of the club members and the importance of them. All in all, it was an interesting experience and I got to learn more about Baruch
