Freshman Seminar Fall 17 EMA

Prayers at the Hillel

As a Jewish student here at Baruch having something that helps me connect to my Jewish identity is truly helpful. At 3:50 the Hillel in our vertical campus holds afternoon prayers, an essential part of my day. Right after freshman seminar, I like to go over there sometimes with my dear friend Andrew Teigman, and we interact with the local Jewish People and those who are interested in finding out more about Israel the Jewish state and their Jewish identity. Daily Prayers are an essential part of my day and I love experiencing this daily event especially at the Hillel where I am surrounded by not only the diversity of Baruch but by the diversity of the Jewish population here at Baruch. I have a profound enjoyment of religious and cultural experiences and love meeting new people. The Hillel at Baruch has provided me with the perfect environment for just that.
