Freshman Seminar Fall 17 LC12

UCLA GIM#2

Last week, on Thursday, Sept. 7, I went to the UCLA’s (United Chinese Language Association) 2nd general interest meeting. While I was there, I thought it was very fun to participate in the games and meet new people who have similar interests as me. The people that run the club also are very great. When I asked them questions about the club, majors, and other things in general about Baruch, they answered me with helpful information of what I should expect from being a student here. Some of the people I met at UCLA were Katie and Alexis, who are in the picture with me. I discovered that they both are majoring in accounting just like me, and we discussed ours thoughts on that and how we are planning to pass our classes. Alexis, who currently is a junior at Baruch, talked to us and gave us an idea of how difficult can majoring in accounting can be, but that didn’t change my mind on what I want to do in the future.

Even though in the beginning my main reason for going there was because I wanted the food, the club in general turned out to be pretty interesting and fun that I forgot about eating for just a minute. Mind you, I was still kinda hungry, haha.

Overall, my experience there on Thursday was very enjoyable. I got to meet people that went to the same high school as me that I didn’t even know went there because I had never seen them before. We played fun games and my team won all of them (just kidding, we only won one out of two games. So sad). And also, I ate lot of food at the end, which is one of the parts I enjoyed the most that day.
