I attended the Majors and Minors fair last week and let me tell you; I am not joking when I tell you I had the time of my life! There were so many interesting majors and minors that I could hardly contain myself. I walked around for a little while and browsed the tables to see what I could get myself into. I decided that I would be interested in Law. I thoroughly LOVE law. Criminal, commercial, intellectual property, all of it.
So, logically, law is the right fit for me and the Majors and Minors fair helped me decide that. I am also interested in Political Science because I plan to go to law school after I graduate from Baruch. I am not really sure which one I am going to decide to do so I have to do a little bit more research before I am going to be 100% confident in what I decide to choose upon.
Maybe if anyone has any advice they could let me know since we are the strongest learning community ever to reach Baruch College. I am open to any advice and I would also recommend attending if you are unsure about your major or minor.

Finance and Economics Society Consulting Event
On October 5th the Finance and Economics society had a meeting surrounding the skills of consulting. Its purpose was to give tips and strategies to people who plan to go into consulting in the future. I went with Kelsang.
I got very nervous when I entered the room because everyone was wearing a suit and I wasn’t because I did not know that there was a dress code. This is an important lesson for life because you should always dress for success that way you’re prepared for any situation.
A lot of helpful tips were given in presentations and I learned a lot more about consulting than I anticipated. All questions were answered with very understanding responses and the members of the club were very professional. There was also free pizza which was very cool.
Beta Alpha Psi
I have heard many bad things and negative stories about people’s experiences with fraternities. Beta Alpha Psi may have changed my mind. After speaking with members of BAP I realized that they stand for something different than most frats. Their goal is to work together within a brotherhood to achieve. I learned that they participate in community service and host many fun events.
I also learned that they have specific requirements for joining. To be a member you must maintain a 3.5 GPA in either Finance, Accounting or CIS. As someone who intends to major in finance and maintain above a 3.5 gpa, I am very interested in BAP. The members of the group were very professional, so I think it would be a good fit for me.
