Freshman Seminar Fall 17 LC17

VSA GIM Experience

On August 31st, I went to the Vietnamese Student Association General Interest Meeting and I didn’t expect to really enjoy myself in there. I was able to make a few new friends. The VSA board was also really friendly that they went around the room to introduce themselves to me and my friends who I came with, but also took the extra step to be friends with us on Facebook as well as ask about our week and how we were transitioning to Baruch.

Even though there were so many people who came to the meeting, I really appreciated how everyone was separated and put into smaller groups to really get to know more people. The free food that we were given was great– it was my first time trying a Vietnamese spring roll. It was so good that I took an extra one home to eat as my dinner in my dorm.
Going to that one VSA meeting really helped me meet a lot of friends and definitely contributed to my Baruch College freshman experience.
