cooper hewitt

As you can tell by my face drenched with enthusiasm this is my 3rd blog post. This one however is different because I took the pic not knowing that this museum trip could be used for a blog post. I met up with a friend at the cooper hewitt museum on 91st a couple of weeks ago and somehow we both got in for free thanks to the fact that we look under 18. It was a nice experience since were both into design. I got to look at some beautiful boundary pushing art that, unfortunately i wasnt able to put in this selfie. The museum itself was pretty futuristic as we got to save our favorite designs on a pen that we walked around with so that we could look at our choices online. I would definitely recommend it to my peers as I enjoyed that whole experience, even awkwardly waiting in the freezing cold.

Blog Post #2 Career

For my second blog post i went to a career workshop, more specifically a resume workshop where they taught us how to write a correct resume. It was sort of an impromptu thing as I’d heard of it but had not planned on going, but due to my overwhelming thursday afternoon boredom, and my desire to get my blog posts over with, I was pulled to that 10th floor room. Once i got in the packed room i wasnt even sure that the group i was with was supposed to be there so i waited for the confirmation. Once they had confirmed I felt myself step into a vortex of adulthood, taxes, and cubicles which was where most of the jobs this workshop referred to would make us spend the rest of our days. But still learning about how to put an emphasis on your qualities and how to word it was something I enjoyed learning.

Blog Post #1 Student life

As you can Probably tell, I spent my Tuesday night watching both our men’s and women’s basketball teams compete in the famous battle of lex derby vs Brooklyn instead of my usual netflix and Hw sessions. Having left America for 4 years i had missed the ambiance of a basketball game and couldn’t waitto get back into it, the music, the shirts, the Mascot and best of all the Super Hyped up Fans. The Girl’s game was the one i had watched in entirety, the crowd was cheering, we were at home and the players looked ready, but the result was a surprise blowout by visiting Brooklyn. Even though the game was pretty choppy at first, Brooklyn took over and ran away with it. Even though we were being bested and the final buzzer came closer the fans were still cheering with a passion. It was really nice to see this sort of school spirit when the team was down. In the end it was a fun night, that I wouldn’t mind experiencing again.
