Instead of attending an actual career workshop, I chose to attend Baruch Voices for my final blog post. Mostly because it seemed to be the more entertaining option and wouldn’t take up too much time. While waiting for the event to begin, the choice of music played only made me kind of hate being there. That feeling fleeted as soon as it came once the presentations began (primary reason being that the music was turned off).  I enjoyed all of the monologues presented and the range of topics touched upon. It was great seeing Vanessa and Illias give their presentations again. There were some touching presentations, a rap, and then there was the monologue about Pokemon. Honestly, I zoned out for a bit throughout the Pokemon piece. It was a lot longer than it really needed to be, considering it was supposed to be no more than 3 minutes. Anyways, I really enjoyed Candace’s commentary given after every presentation, it was one of my favorite parts of the whole thing.
