Blog Post #1: Student Life

The picture doesn’t make it obvious, but on Tuesday, February 16th, I went to the extremely hyped up Battle of Lexington.  Now I don’t want this post to be too negative, so let me start off by saying this: at least they tried. The Bearcats took on the Brooklyn Bulldogs and may I say that Brooklyn came with their game face, for both the women’s and men’s games. In the first half of the women’s game, I didn’t have much hope for a triumphant victory because by that time the Bulldogs had already seized the opportunity to take a good lead. Now the second half was a completely different story because things seemed to be turning around for our beloved Bearcats. They switched their defensive strategy around, offense seemed to actually be putting effort and there was a slight chance that they could actually win. Well, I turned out to be wrong and they did in fact lose the game. After the women’s game I barely had any hope for the men, however watching them practice lifted my spirits. The men’s game started off really strong and slowly dwindled down. Although they only lost by about 14 points I was still disappointed that the Bearcats didn’t take home at least one win. Nevertheless, they get an A for effort and I’m still a proud member of the Baruch Bearcat family.
