Growing up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn has its perks. I grew up knowing the various exciting parts of Brooklyn, mainly downtown. I grew familiar with all of park slope and most of its attractions. The Atlantic Mall was where many of my childhood adventures took place. Before I moved to Long Island I noticed an area of construction across the street from the mall. Each time I revisited Brooklyn, more and more was being added and built. I had no knowledge of what was to be constructed or what was to become of that area. What was once viewed as an area of construction, is now known today as The Barclays Center. The center is strategically located in downtown Brooklyn, Atlantic Avenue near Park slope. It has been a growing attraction for the borough of Brooklyn ever since it was built!
