AN APOLOGY
I am sorry
Sometimes,
I forget.
I forget the color
The color of love
Sorry,
Sometimes I see blurry
I am in a dream
I see colors
Still blurry
I wake up
It was a dream
And I realize
I need you, my love
To see it all Clearly.

I like how you repeat the words “dream” and “blurry” as they show a sense of apology but they’re really apologizing without knowing what they’re really saying sorry for. I automatically thought of Nightwood when reading this because the whole theme of heart break and dreaming reminds me of Nora and Robin. Really like this poem, great work!
