Obama Plan’s to Make Colleges More Affordable

President Obama recently outlined a plan that would attempt to make colleges more affordable for the general population. His ideas include a way to rate and rank colleges based on tuition, graduation rates, debt of graduates, etc., and those schools with the better rankings will receive more financial aid than their peers. Obama has said that although he hopes that this plan can go into effect as soon as possible, it is unlikely to go into effect until 2018. Currently, the federal government spends approximately $150 billion per year on financial aid.
