Underage Murder

In a small town near Oklahoma City, 3 youths were charged with murder. All under the age of 18, one teenager shot a woman who was spending her time getting fit with an afternoon jog. When arrested, and questioned, the teenager responded with a chilling answer to why he murdered the woman. He told the officer that he was bored and looking for a thrill. All three are looking to spend there life in prison. Hii Power chose the topic of violence because it is a worldwide problem. There are many reasons to why people commit murder, but killing someone because the person was bored is unacceptable. Todays teenagers need to find hobbies to keep themselves busy. If these teenagers had something important in there life like sports, education or music, this murder could have been prevented. i believe that this affects my first semester at Baruch because i want to try to keep myself busy before i do something irrational.
