The Google News Initiative also supports our “Launching a High School Newspaper Course,” as well as the Annual NYC Public High School Journalism Conference and the Annual Newsies Best in NYC High School Journalism Awards.  Thanks to The Google News Initiative’s support, we can offer our programming to high schools free of charge.

Thank you to the Charles H. Revson Foundation for funding incentive awards to NYC public high schools that have launched new successful newspapers through the Baruch College High School Journalism Program’s Launching a High School Newspaper Course.  Thank you also for funding incentive awards to high schools whose newspapers win first or second place in the Annual Newsies Best in NYC Public High School Newspaper Awards.  All incentive awards are used to encourage and support NYC public high school student newspapers, student journalists, and teacher-advisors.

Thank you to the David and Katherine Moore Family Foundation and the Harnisch Foundation for your many years of generous support of Baruch College’s High School Journalism Program.

Thank you to New York City’s dedicated high school newspaper advisors for supporting and encouraging scholastic journalism and journalism and news literacy education.

Thank you to New York City’s talented high school newspaper student editors, reporters, writers, artists, photographers, multimedia producers and all newspaper staff members for your excellent work.

Thank you to all of the journalism awards judges and workshop leaders, including many Baruch College and CUNY journalism faculty members and journalists and writers, who contribute time and expertise to help ensure the success of Baruch College’s Annual NYC High School Journalism Conference and Newsies Best in NYC Public High School Newspaper Awards.

Thank you to our program assistants, including many editors from Baruch College’s own student newspaper, “The Ticker,” for your valuable and enthusiastic assistance.  Your efforts help ensure the quality and success of the programming we offer to public high school student journalists and teacher-newspaper advisors.

Thank you to Baruch College’s Department of Journalism and the Writing Professions’ faculty and to our department chair, dean, provost and president for unwavering support of Baruch College’s High School Journalism Program.
